LET'S START WITH A STORY
TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY - SAN ANTONIO HUMAN TRAFFICKING PREVENTION PANEL
As a student at Texas A&M University - San Antonio, I was able to initiate and organize the universities first Human Trafficking Conference in January 2020. We had a robust panel of community and nonprofit advocates, a trafficking survivor, law enforcement and government officials sit on this strategic panel. The panel garnished local media attention. I organized a resource fair of 15 trafficking advocates throughout the community of San Antonio participate. The conference took place on the Texas A&M - San Antonio campus as close to 200 students and people in the community attended. The conference was well talked about throughout the semester among teachers and students alike. Students whose family members were possible trafficking victims even opened up to me about their and how the conference helped them talk to their loved ones. I am currently planning the second conference for January 2021.
STREET OUTREACH
Part of my advocacy work is event planning such as Code Red. Code Red is an annual Victory Outreach International free event that reaches out to thousands of Twilight Treasures every year. My husband and I over see the coordination for Victory Outreach San Antonio in which hundreds of women have been over the last five years. Victory Outreach San Antonio has the largest Code Red in Texas among our sister churches. We are a model Code Red because of the distribution of Genevieve's Purses, medical resources offered and networking with like minded community advocates. Below are pictures from Code Red 2015 to Present.

GENEVIEVE'S PURSES
Genevieve Ramirez was a Twilight Treasure I reached out to in December 2015. She was brutally murdered in March 2015 by Johnny Avalos aka The South side Serial Killer. Genevieve was the very first recipient of the purses I started to hand out under Victory Outreach Twilight Treasures Ministry. Through these purses, I was able to build a relationship of trust with her. Eventually to her wanting out of the lifestyle. Unfortunately, the week I went to get her to bring her into our free women's recovery home is the week she was murdered. I was within hours of getting to her. Today, these purses are used throughout Victory Outreach International, named in Genevieve's honor, to reach other Twilight Treasures.

FELONY FRIENDLY JOB FAIR
Working with the women in the community the way I have. I saw the need for second chance jobs. I took that need and put together a felony friendly job fair in 2016. I had the support of the local south side community. About 20 resources showed up at the Mission Library Pavilion with over 100 people in attendance. Krispy Kreme sponsored 12 dozen doughnuts for this event.

CODE RED
A Victory Outreach Event
I am the one behind the camera taking the pictures. This event is a Victory Outreach Event, but my pastors have trusted me with the responsibility of coordinating Code Red. Code Red is a free two day evangelistic outreach which caters to women who have a history of human trafficking, prostitution, drugs and homelessness
